Last Dance | And for the time being is a collaboration between performer, movement director and fashion designer Stéphane ‘Peeps’ Moun and choreographer, film maker and performer Ian Kaler. The idea for the piece originates from ‘Peeps’ wish to work on a solo that is dedicated to his mother Martine who will see ‘Peeps’ perform live on stage for the first time.
Last Dance | And for the time being is born out of a longstanding exchange between ‘Peeps’ and Ian, reflecting on growth, artistic practices and contexts, friendship and (chosen) family as a form of complicity and kinship. In the process of working on the piece these questions and reflections are further developed with a team of long-term collaborators in a shared cross-disciplinary and transmedial approach.
